Driver will be expected to move the pallets to the rear of the trailer with a pump truck. Some of these pallets can be quite heavy (drinks/sugar etc), but we have a mixture of driver abilities here and they are able to unload without issue.

Drivers to use our mobile apps to confirm their work and completion of jobs, including uploading POD’s to the system.

Tractor unit is fitted with internal cameras for insurance purposes

Hours of Work

4 on 4 off shift rota
6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am

Responsibilities:

Carry out maintenance tasks and breakdown resolution on various types of food processing equipment
Conduct repairs and modifications to machinery
Fault finding and maintenance on mechanical assemblies
Fault finding and maintenance on electrical systems
Fault finding and maintenance on pneumatic systems
Carrying out PPM tasks and reporting findings
Recording of all tasks on Shires CMMS
Alerting Engineering Buyer if parts are required
Responsible for own H&S and that of others around
Building close working relationships with area leads
Completing all necessary paperwork for safety and technical compliance
Liaise with Engineering Manager and Maintenance Manager on foreseeable issues and any improvements

Knowledge and Specific Skills:

Essential

· HND

· NVQ 3 or equivalent

· 3 years Engineering experience in food manufacturing environment

· Continuous Improvement experience

Desirable

· Engineering degree

Duties

Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large item
Shunting
Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift trucks
Assisting in the overall dispatch of customers’ orders.
Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements

Skills

UK Valid Driving Licence
Ability to operate a forklift or side-loader is desirable but not essential
Experience with overhead cranes
Attention to quality control standards to minimise errors and damage during processing
Health and safety awareness
Organised approach with good time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently

We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. Candidates must possess valid driving credentials and have previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, including flatbed lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
Load and unload goods, ensuring securement of cargo during transit
Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise efficiency
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues during deliveries
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar equipment
